This is the real racing feeling for me: manual shifting, pedal footwork, breathing engine, great work has to be done, by the driver. Just great. Thank God we still have these videos! This 2:43 min are more entertainment, then FP1 and FP2 right now from the new F1 track in Las Vegas. They have lost the sprit of racing, for me.

How they made it slower that F40 is beyond me. It was not supposed to be a luxury sedan but an all sport car - chassis, weight, suspension, everything.

The mr2 had no business being there, it was holding up the other racers smh 🤦‍♂️

the f40 clearly had the best driver the other cars seemed to be daydreaming apart from the mr2

当時小学生だったけどTBSの夕方のニュースで事故の報道あったのを覚えている。 確かボカシ無しで流していたと思った。 そしてハントが優勝したレース結果は触れていなかったような気がする😅

Great video, thanks. If I remember correctly this was shown on the championships online streaming service which was one of the first championships to try live streaming of sessions. They used to show practice, qualifying and the races. Mainly onboard cameras if I remember correctly. It wasn’t great as the technology was just in its infancy in regards of live streaming live events but it helped pave the way for what we have now.
